Start your qualification journey today
Your employees deserve a workplace where they are led by inspiring leaders who make them feel seen, heard, and valued. But where do you start? Blanchard’s Courageous Inclusion course teaches leaders and individuals in your organization a mindset that promotes diversity and inclusion, combined with a process to become more knowledgeable and active proponents of inclusion in their workplace.
We’ve developed this qualification program to help prepare prospective course leaders to deliver the program in their organizations effectively. Through this virtual qualification course, we provide you with the tools and support you need to move your learners beyond awareness and motivation and teach participants how to figure out where they are with regard to DEI issues and what they must do to become a more active and engaged force for inclusion.

Learning Objectives
This course will instruct prospective trainers how to:
- Feel prepared to handle challenging scenarios they may encounter in delivery
- Cultivate curiosity and empathy in order to create safe and inclusive learning environments
- Expand self-awareness through the exploration of others’ DEI journeys and perspectives
- Become comfortable sharing one's DEI story in a way that respects their experience and honors others’ experiences
Course Details
The Courageous Inclusion™ Qualification course combines three 3-hour virtual sessions over three days. During the first two sessions, you will complete the course as a participant. In the third session, you will receive hands-on training on how to deliver the content in your organization. This virtual course includes prework activities and engaging participant materials, videos, and learning activities that cover the following:
- Learn: Trainers will complete the online course overview in Blanchard Exchange and attend the virtual instructor-led Courageous Inclusion program as a participant.
- Review: Participants will review the course facilitation materials and familiarize themselves with the training design and delivery components.
- Reflect: Learners will participate in a small group session with a coach/facilitator/DEI subject matter expert to debrief about the train-the-trainer session and their experience, ask questions about delivery, and get feedback on their DEI story.
- Prework requirements: Trainers must prepare their DEI story in advance of the small group session so they can receive peer and instructor feedback. Honing this story will require you to do the self-work and reflection necessary for authentically delivering Courageous Inclusion.
- Post-work requirements: Following the small group session, participants will record and submit a video in response to potential scenarios they might encounter in delivery.
Access to the Courageous Inclusion facilitation materials will be provided during the qualification process. Once qualified, facilitators will receive access to the course in Blanchard Exchange.
